Kovu

Meet Kovu! When his senior adopted Kovu just over a year ago, she did not realize they would need to part so soon. As she is unexpectedly moving to be cared for by family, Kovu is in need of a second forever home.

Kovu is a 12-year-old sweet, lovable boy who is about as clever and curious as you can get. He loves playing with catnip toys, being brushed and can’t resist a treat! He loves exploring his tunnel and curling up on his favourite cushion for a long nap.

Just like his namesake, Kovu from the Lion King, he is a big boy at approximately 20 lbs. Kovu thrives on routine and loves to spend his time following his human around, from the kitchen to the couch, and can be found sleeping at the foot of her bed every night. He readily accepts a routine!

Kovu is ideally looking for a quiet home without young children. He can be nervous and startles easily with noise, but he may be okay with older, gentler children. Kovu has experience with older animals, but would do best with animals who are calm. His veterinarian recently recommended he take gabapentin for his nervousness and mild arthritis in his legs, which he takes with ease.
