Meet Ernie! This gentle, independent boy is looking for a loving second forever home as his senior humans can no longer care for him.

Ernie is a handsome 9‑year‑old domestic short-haired sweetheart who loves to be near his humans. He enjoys quiet companionship and will happily spend his days relaxing in the same room as you. He adores gentle pets on his head and back and has a calm, easygoing nature.

Ernie has a charming sense of routine. He knows that bedtime means treat time, and he’s excellent at reminding you when it’s meal time! He has brief bursts of interest in toys before returning to his favourite pastime: napping. His go‑to snoozing spots include the top of the couch or the bed, where he can lounge comfortably for hours.

Ernie has previously lived with a small dog without issue, but he would prefer a quiet home. He has no experience living with other cats, so a home where he can be the only feline is ideal. When young children visit, he hides as soon as he hears their voices, so a home without little ones will help him feel safest. He is a fully indoor kitty who thrives on a predictable, peaceful routine.
