Meko

Meet Meko! As his senior human is transferring to an assisted living home, which doesn’t allow pets, this sweet boy is looking for a new forever home.

Meko, a handsome orange tabby turning 12-years-old this December, is a chill fellow who provides lots of calm companionship and love. He enjoys spending his days napping on his favourite tower and can also be found curled up discreetly under the bed sheets.

Meko is fairly independent but will reach out a paw or give headbutts to ask for pets, and will join you on the couch for extra cuddles. While he prefers quieter activities like napping and bird watching, he can be enticed to chase after a toy mouse, paw at a string, or run and jump to catch a treat that has been tossed.

Meko is an indoor cat who would do best in a quiet home, without young children or lively pets, but he does have some experience with an older calm dog. There’s plenty of Meko to cuddle – he’s a happy, healthy boy whose weight is managed through portion control and he gets his nails trimmed regularly at the vet.
