Wrecks

A few months ago we shared with you that one of our adoptables, Wrecks, was in need of seeing a cardiologist to ensure it was safe to neuter him with a heart condition. After many tests, exams and consulting experts, we’ve determined it isn’t safe to neuter him, which means he isn’t able to stay in his second forever home due to the other cat in the home. So, we are once again looking for a second forever home for this sweet, loving boy.

Meet Wrecks! He is a 14-year-old boy who is full of energy and spunk, running up and down the stairs, following you into every room to assist with tasks that absolutely do not require him but he’s there for moral support. When you’re ready to relax at the end of a long day, Wrecks will be there to crawl up onto your lap or snuggle up beside you in bed, purring away and enjoying some quality time together.

Wrecks will always run to greet you at the door when you arrive home and he’ll always make sure you know he’s there with his little meows and chirps. He loves being the centre of attention, being cuddled, and happily sitting by the window watching the world go by.

Wrecks is looking for a very special human to love him. He’s a pro at using the litter box, although his human has been working with him on behaviour that occasionally pops up due to Wreck’s inability to be neutered. He’s such a smart kitty, we’ve made amazing progress with this! He is a gentle boy who likes to be brushed and is happy to have his nails trimmed.

Wrecks does have a heart murmur which is being monitored by a cardiologist and is currently prescribed medications that he takes well with a liquid tube treat. Other than that, he is a healthy boy who definitely shows it during all of his daily activities.
