our programs
My Grandfather’s Cat helps seniors and terminally ill people feed and arrange second forever homes for their beloved pets across Canada. Our three main programs include a free rehoming service, a pet pantry, and a veterinary care fund. We also do additional work through our outreach events and educational resources.
More than 1,000 seniors, terminally ill people and their families have been helped through our work. All programs are available across Canada.
Our Rehoming Service helps seniors and terminally ill people arrange second forever home for their pets before they move into retirement homes or pass away. It is a free service with no adoption fees.
Our Rehoming Service was the first chapter of MGC, which launched on May 21, 2021, our founder’s grandfather’s birthday.
