Meet Maya! As a family member has been experiencing health challenges, this beautiful, chatty girl is looking for a second forever home.

Maya is an approximately 8-year-old Siamese mix with striking blue eyes who joined her current family two years ago after her previous owner passed away and has been showering them with affection ever since.

If you're looking for a cat who truly loves her people, Maya is your girl. She is incredibly affectionate, loves to snuggle, and isn't shy about asking for attention. She'll happily greet you when you walk through the door, carry on conversations throughout the day, and remind you if you haven't acknowledged her recently.

At bedtime, she's content to curl up close and settle in for the night. When she's not soaking up affection, Maya enjoys watching birds and squirrels from her favourite perches, stretching out in sunny spots around the house, and playing with feather wands, string toys, or a laser pointer.

Maya is looking for a quieter home with someone who appreciates an affectionate and snuggly kitty companion. She would do best as the only pet, as she does not enjoy the company of dogs or other cats. She may be suitable for a home with older cat-savvy children who understand how to interact with cats.

Maya has been examined by her veterinarian for an ongoing litter box issue where she intermittently poops outside the box, despite always peeing in it. The vet suspects this could be due to the home she is in causing her anxiety. She takes daily medication to help manage anxiety, but would more than likely thrive in a calm, quieter home.
