Remy

Meet Remy! As his beloved senior humans are no longer able to care for him, this handsome boy is looking for a second forever home and a special person to call his own.

Remy is a confident, social 13 year-old boy who genuinely enjoys being around people. He isn’t shy or fearful and is always happy to receive some attention and cuddles — while still appreciating a little independence when he wants it. At bedtime, though, Remy knows exactly where he belongs: sleeping on the bed with his human!

Remy has a playful side and enjoys having some fun. He also has very refined tastes when it comes to treats. Churu treats are a favourite, but his rather unexpected weakness is watermelon Ring Pops! Clearly, Remy believes life is too short for boring snacks.

Remy is diabetic and requires insulin injections twice daily. Thankfully, he is an absolute superstar for his shots, making this part of his daily routine very manageable. Remy has also developed some wobbliness that affects his mobility. Running and jumping are more difficult for him now, but this brave little guy seems to be adapting and finding his own ways to get where he wants to go.

Remy has never lived with other cats or dogs, so he would be happiest in a home where he can have his humans to himself. A home without small children would be best, although older, cat-savvy children who understand how to respect his space should be okay. His perfect family would be comfortable managing his diabetes and willing to make a few accommodations for his changing mobility — in return, they’ll get a sweet, confident companion who still has plenty of love, cuddles and personality to give.
