Four years ago, Jake’s beloved senior human went into palliative care and he found his second forever home through My Grandfather’s Cat.

Jake thrived with his second forever family ever since, and didn’t have a single health concern. That is until he was unexpectedly diagnosed with diabetes at 13 years old.

Jake’s mom worked with the Bedford Cat Clinic to get him the diabetic care he needed. Jake responded very well to an oral medication, but he will need daily medication, and potentially insulin, for the rest of his life.

We want to ensure Jake continues to get the care he needs, so he are honoured to help his family with these unanticipated vet expenses by choosing him as a recipient of The Mackenzie Fund.

Through your kindness and generosity, we were able to provide Jake with a $500 grant on his vet account for his continued care.
