Alice

When Alice’s senior mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, she was in need of a second forever home. The daughter was at a loss, until a friend suggested she contact a fairly new charity called My Grandfather’s Cat.

She began working with our volunteer Adoption Coordinator, Meagan, to find a second forever home for Alice in Mississauga, Ontario. After interviewing a few applicants, one was just perfect — Michele.

Now, four years later, Alice is thriving with Michele. She recently celebrated her 14th birthday, and is a sweet, funny girl who is the perfect addition to Michele’s home. As her mom is a volunteer photographer, Alice has the most stunning photos and was even featured in Purrfect Seniors’ cat calendar.

“Alice is a terrific companion, who brings lots of love and comfort to me on a daily basis. I’m grateful that I saw Alice on your Instagram account, and was able to give her a second home.”
