Chita
When Chita was just 10 years old, she unexpectedly suffered a stroke. While she recovered, she now had a few special needs. Her beloved senior human didn’t mind, she continued to love and care for Chita every day for the next two years until she was transferred into a long-term care home.
Her son worried it would be difficult to find a home for Chita, so he did everything he could to set her up for success. He took her to regular vet appointments and helped her lose weight, but then it came time to find her a second forever home, he contacted My Grandfather’s Cat.
He began working directly with our founder, Angela, to find a second forever home for Chita in Montreal, Quebec. In the first two months, a couple of applications trickled in, but they just weren’t the right fit. Then, Analisa and her husband, Joshua, applied.
Analisa and her husband were newly married and ready to welcome a cat into their home. When she mentioned this to one of her friends, they told her to look into MGC. Chita was the only cat available in their area, and she was just perfect.
After a few meet and greets and many conversations, the son agreed Analisa and Joshua were the perfect home for Chita. She moved into their condo, and began showing her sweet, loving personality — even jumping up on the couch with her new mom and dad.
“It’s safe to say we are all happy to have found My Grandfather’s Cat.”
