Joe

When his senior human unexpectedly had to move into long-term care, her beloved cat Joe was in need of a second forever home. She cherished Joe, often dressing him in cute little outfits — and even a tutu. Suddenly, she only had two weeks to find a home for him.

With the help of her daughter, she contacting My Grandfather’s Cat. They began working with our volunteer, Alex, to find a second forever home for Joe in Edmonton, Alberta. Joe had been diagnosed with FVR, a reoccurring kitty cold, as a kitten so they worried that he wouldn’t get adopted, but it only took a couple days until we received an application from Lynn and her family.

Lynn wasn’t worried about FVR and was happy to welcome Joe into her home. After spending the first night sleeping in the bathtub, Joe made a new best friend — the family dog. They are now inseparable and the very best of friends.
