pumpkin and lucky
Pumpkin and Lucky were born as feral kittens in the woods of rural Ontario. They were discovered by a senior gentleman who rescued them. He spent the next year working on their socialization skills until he suddenly passed away. His grown children could not take the on duo, so they reached out to My Grandfather's Cat for help.
The family started working with our volunteer, Melanie. As soon as they were posted to the MGC community, a lady named Tania read about their story and, as she had experience integrating feral cats into her home, knew that she could help. Tania met with the family, and they knew she was the perfect person to help finish where their dad left off with helping Pumpkin and Lucky.
Now, months later, Pumpkin and Lucky are getting more social with each passing day! They love their daily play sessions with a laser and fuzzy worm on a fishing pole, laying in the sunshine. They have learned to love being pet on their own terms and have curled up twice with Tania’s daughter and will stay with her until she moves, then they bolt like two little blurs of action.
“Pumpkin covers his eyes when he naps, so cute and Lucky loves to lay on top of air vents and slide his kibble off the plate onto the floor. They are both fun, playful personalities and have fit in so well into our family home!”
