Fall 2025 edition
WELCOME TO THE LATEST EDITION OF MY GRANDFATHER’S TALES
We’re so excited to share with you the work we’ve been doing and the milestones we have met over the last three months.
our 400th second forever home
We are thrilled to announce that we have found 400 second forever homes across Canada 🤍
I can't help but think back to when I was 26 years old, living in my parents' basement and coming up with the idea for this charity. I never could have imagined we'd be celebrating our 400th adoption, or that we've helped more than 1000 animals, or that there would be this incredible community of people behind me.
You are the reason we are celebrating this milestone today. Whether you've been a part of this community from day one or you joined today on day 1592, you are helping us change the lives of seniors, terminally ill people and their beloved pets. I am truly so grateful for each and every one of you, and constantly in awe of what we have accomplished together.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in me and My Grandfather's Cat.
All my love,
Angela

our fall pet pantry is here
Our Fall Pet Pantry is Here 🍂
We're getting ready to provide another 25 low-income seniors with $200 worth of pet food and supplies shipped directly to their door.
Many seniors across Canada have been impacted by the rising cost of living, often struggling with the increased cost of pet food. By providing them with a generous amount of pet food, it will ensure they do not need to rehome their beloved pets simply because they are struggling to feed them.
To date, our Pet Pantry program has helped more than 160 seniors and fed more than 360 animals across Canada.
our recent adoptions
Luna
When a senior lady was diagnosed with terminal cancer, she made the noble decision to choose medical assistance in dying. She found a home for her beloved cat, Luna, and family flew in from as far as Australia to be with her. Just three days before her MAID was scheduled, the person who was planning to adopt Luna realized she couldn’t take her. That’s when they contacted My Grandfather’s Cat.
Charlie and Daisy
When their beloved senior mom passed away, Charlie and Daisy were in need of a second forever home. Her daughters were not able to take them in, and they were heartbroken as Charlie and Daisy were one of the last connections to their mom. They reached out to My Grandfather’s Cat for help.
“I can’t stop crying with gratefulness that we found the perfect human for my grandmother’s cat. Thank you so much.”
